Housing Partners
Are you a provider of affordable or transitional housing programs? Do you currently offer affordable or transitional housing options designed specifically for underserved, low-income communities in need?
Why you are important:
Here at the Good Samaritan Service Project, we understand that housing insufficiency is often one of the biggest contributors to systemic poverty. Even when unhoused individuals get the financial or medical help they need, housing insufficiency often places them back in these situations. Sometimes, even getting a job is not enough to combat housing insufficiency, especially at the current rates for housing. And with the unavailability of resources, temporary shelters, and affordable housing programs, some people still have nowhere to go.
What we are looking for:
Here at the Good Samaritan Service Project, we are looking to partner with organizations, individual sponsors, and other nonprofits that specialize in providing housing or housing assistance services to those in need. Ideal partners would be agencies that directly provide transitional long-term housing to underserved communities that are working toward self-sufficiency. We also strongly encourage partnerships with organizations that provide affordable housing at fixed rates or rates falling within federal poverty guidelines. Because we are 100 percent transparent with the funding we receive, individual sponsors that specifically want their donations to go toward housing are also encouraged to apply.
As our organization expands, it is our mission to use housing and general donations toward the establishment of tiny home communities for those in need. We are currently working with organizations like Operation Tiny Home, to generate the funding needed to create communities for those that have none.
